We love your Boids comic at our house (as well as TSOALR and ENM), especially since we are avid bird-watchers. You seem to have captured sparrow behavior very well. We were at Home Depot the other day, and noticed quite a few sparrows have learned to avoid the recent -40 windchills and get into the warm building by flying in front of the movement sensors on the doors. They have occupied the upper rafters of the metal ceiling near the birdseed aisle, and have even pecked open containers of birdseed to keep their sparrow tummies full, and sustain their nimble and cute antics. The staff told us that when the birds feel like going outside, they just fly in front of the sensor at the top of the door. It appears they have been circulating the good news to all their friends, as there is quite a colony now living inside Home Depot. People we know who work at Wal Mart and Canadian Tire tell us that this situation also exists in their stores. It occured to us that this situation might make for a fun setting for some of your Boids comics. Thanks for all the laughs.
