68 - Halitosis Kitty
Okay, the contest for the original artwork from the Thanksgiving Day strip has been decided! By the first of the year (all entries MUST be in by midnight Dec. 31), email us your “Boids Mash-up” comic strip! Take panels from any of the Boids strips in the archives, arrange them however you want to make a NEW comic! Add new word balloons if you like, just use the art as you see fit. The strip MUST keep the same size format as the existing strips, so keep them simple. Steve and I will judge the funniest strip and the winner will be sent the original art, signed by me. If you are under 13 years of age, you MUST ask your folks if you can enter, because we will need an address to ship the artwork. Please, only one entry per person. We will post the winning mash-up on Thursday, Jan. 3! What are you waiting for? GET BUSY!!
UPDATE! If you want to print out the strips, then use scissors and glue to create your mash-up, that’s cool, too. You don’t have to be able to edit digitally to enter. Just contact us and we’ll give you a mailing address to ship to.

http://gorp.away.com/gorp/activity/birding/expert/exp010627.htm - I think the key phrase in this article as it pertains to our comic is “and the birds aren’t talking”
- So they CAN smell, Steve just enhanced things a bit using his well-earned Artistic License.
