Wow. Particle beams. Cool. Is that an older version of boid? why is he purple? And again, teh light on boid is coming from the dark side of the room. Interesting…
Okay, the lighting thing - there COULD be angled spotlights… or maybe Boid is somewhat luminescent due to his unique power source…oops. I have said too much!
actually, i thought the lighting was pretty good in this one, though it varies from panel to panel (not a bad thing in comics)
i shall henceforth refrain from scrutinizing the lighting, or at least from pestering you about it
so this guy’s like the Yoda of boids, then? i.e. he has all the answers and will lead Boid on his spiritual journey to discover his true powers….. or…. un-spiritual, since he is a robot. (his software journey?)
I like the use of font to identify boids from birds.

Boid, I am your father! Well, he does look like he could be his father…
And the lighting could just be there for dramatic effect, and not showing that light comes from dark (although that would be a cool concept…).

I’m guessing that dark boid is Boid’s dark side! He’s Boid’s evi clone! Man this a really good plotline.
