Hey, me again! Steve is on a well-deserved vacation this week, so I’ve got to wear all the hats. It’s been a great week for us as far as viewers go and I’d like to thank everyone for spreading the Boid woid… Hopefully you saw the the extra things we’ve offered up other than just the usual Monday and Thursday strips—scroll on down to see a sketch and listen to some audio files! I’ll try and do an extra sketch each week and the audio bird songs are fun, so look for more of those, too.

Wade - Well, the yellow finch has some male markings in my drawing, but it looked so cool… The female Cardinal (red bird) looks similar to the male, but isn’t as vibrant red, so I got that right. The other two birds are fairly generic - Cow Bird and Bluebird. I’ll try to be more accurate in my renderings knowing that my eagle-eyed fans are watching!

As long as you stay away from Seagulls of any variety i’m looking forward to see which birds is next to make an apperance. I really hate the seagulls and although its rather mean i laughed when i heard about a local customer getting spattered with gull guts after hitting one of the wind turbines at a supermarket!

It’s a little weird to think of birds trying to pick up ‘chicks’. It’d be like saying ‘kids’.

The music in the backgroun sheet there, has for sets of notes for every bar…. four… birds only sing in one.. I guess boid is FOUR times the bird.. to get.. FOUR times the womens.

i just went thru and read all of toyzville, and then i got to the last one and realized it ended and i was sad. i just thought i’d let you know it was really cute. i hope you enjoy working on the boids more and i hope it doesn’t end for a LONG time.
