Happy Earth Day!

Hey, another update? So SOON? Sure! Today is Earth Day and since Boids is all about birds, you can bet on an ecological slant to the strip. Steve and I are both into helping the environment and hope to keep Boids as “green” as possible. That doesn’t mean we’ll get all preachy about it, just moving towards green in a positive way. So here’s your Earth Day present - a bunch of different bird sketches. You will probably see most of these in the strip eventually. Especially the tufted titmouse - c’mon! With a name like that, we can’t resist…

Doods! Looking good! This looks like being a really cool comic. Can’t wait for the launch!

Is there any plan to have a forum for it?

  2. Aelix Eisenhorn Says:

I would think they would use the TSOALR forums, as there is no forum for E9M or Toyzvill but I have seen both Larry and and Steve on TSOALR. possibly make a new section of the forum for Boids.

    great art great art…

    Nate - MONDAY MONDAY MONDAY!

Dammit, and there was me thinking I was the first to 3D up Boid. Does his head really join straight to his body like that or is there a neck of sorts? My model has a little neck to allow the head to swivel and tilt. Does Boid have a mouth or does he ’speak’ using an internal speaker?

And there you have the start of the Boid FAQ…

    ;-)

I’m working on a life size paper model too. Do you think I’m going to be one of those “groupie” types?

  8. WAM Says:

    o monday?!
    Sweet!

    ; )

  9. Larry Says:

    Hey Selezen -
Never really did a neck, because Boid’s head tucks down when in high-speed flight. Consider it a magnetic attachment for now, unless we come up with something better! I’ve drawn him with a tiny mouth flap here and there, but I prefer the speaker idea. Depends on what we need to deliver THE FUNNY. :)

Can you share the paper Boid model with us? Either pictures or plans? Love to see it. We could even use it as a download for folks… Way cool! We treat our groupies well.
