The actual bird is more realistic than I want, but I am happy with this piece. I will push the cartooning more as I go along and get the rhythm of the strip. In order to more accurately display the species of birds in BOIDS, we decided that some gray tones are necessary.

Will it be all gray scale or some possible color? By the way that is a very nice bird Larry, you should pull something together for an art show or something.

Thanks Alex! The strip will be grayscale initially - trying to keep it simple for now. We aren’t against going to full color eventually, but we’re seeing how production goes. With all the beautiful color that birds can display, it would be nice to show them off here. Maybe color Sunday strips, eventually? Stay tooned!

It makes me wish I could recognise different species so that I could appreciate your artistry… who knows I may even suprise myself haha. Cant wait guys!
