The actual bird is more realistic than I want, but I am happy with this piece. I will push the cartooning more as I go along and get the rhythm of the strip. In order to more accurately display the species of birds in BOIDS, we decided that some gray tones are necessary.
GAAAH! I am unhappy with my progress. I’m sure this happens to every artist/cartoonist who carefully sets out to define his style, researches the subject and proceeds to over-think the project to the point of meltdown…
